Finishing Insanity

Does anyone here finish Insanity without losing a load of weight? I mean some people told me I look a little thinner because of the muscle gain. All I notice really are my toned legs and 4 lbs lost. I have two weeks left and it's bothering me that this is the amazing transformation from such a difficult workout? I'm staying under my calorie limit as well.

I've done two rounds of P90X. During that time I lost only 3 pounds, but I gained definite muscle definition and strength. You can't base your success on the scale.
You also can't base your successes on anyone else's before and after pics. You are an individual. Intensity, burn, and body composition changes are all based on your body.
Keep up the great work and keep at it. Also make sure you are eating enough. Eating too few calories is counter productive. You must fuel properly for your activity level.0 -
I lost 2.9kg (~6lbs) when I did Insanity + strength training. 2.9kg in nine weeks is not a lot, but I was very happy that my endurance improved like whoa and I lost a bunch of cms (for example 4cm around my belly).0

It truly depends on what you ate. Open your diary to the public, for better feedback, miss. I lost 25 lbs in 60 days on my first round of Insanity.0

Did you take measurements at all? I bet you lost a good amount of inches...also you could be eating too little? Looking at your diary maybe you should be eating some of your workout calories back? Insanity is a super intense program so you need food (as long as it's healthy) to fuel it. Did you take before and after pictures or look back at pictures before you started and look at you now I'm sure there are some changes!0

I finished insanity and I didn't lose a whole pile, in fact through the whole program the first month and a half I gained 4 lbs. It wasn't till the same point you are at (2 weeks from finishing) where I actually even lost and it was the same 4 lbs I gained lol. I did lose inches and did look thinner but although I didn't find huge number losses, I did take away from it many more plusses. I could never do even modified pushups, by the end of insanity I could and many of them, I had way better endurance, my core was so much stronger, I fit into my first goal jeans 2 sizes smaller (hadn't worn them in years), I also started running again with no problems, I have stronger legs and could do proper squats no problem....these are just some. I also found this to be my soulmate program and have struggled since I finished to find something that is comparable because I love it so much. I will do round 2 again but for now I am going to work on something different to see different results. My body doesn't have a huge amount of weight to lose and just want to do something a little different for now, but I miss Insanity so much. I say stick with it because what you are taking away from it is way more important than any number. You are so much stronger and fitter. You only have 2 weeks left don't quit at the end, you are almost there. Do you do a race and quit before the finish line? uh no, you keep going and finish what you started
You got it and you can finish it and take away much more than any number loss.0 -
I finished Insanity a few weeks a go and also didn't lose much weight, only lost 6-7 lbs and have 30 more lbs to lose, but a total of 18.5 inches over all. It was hard to stick to when you see the scale not budging, but it was very much worth it. I feel so much fit and stronger. I just started Chalean Extreme and am now seeing more weight drop. I heard someone on here say they didn't lose during insanity but dropped 12 lbs. after. I'd keep it up till the end, it's a great accomplishment to finish such a tough program, great work!0
