Hi been trying to lose weight since April, have lost 3lbs. Not sure how many calories I should be aiming for. I m 52, 5'4" ,164lbs & post-menopausal. I've been going to the gym since April and try to go 3/4 times a week. I follow a PT programme which is weights and cardio. I am on 1400 calories at the moment, MFP said 1200 but that seemed low. I dont log my exercise and try to do 10,000 steps a day. I am trying to weigh all my food as best as i can. Any advice

I'd suggest tightening up your logging - "as best I can" sounds vague and you're likely eating more than you think. Weigh all solids, measure all liquids and double check all the database entries you use for accuracy.

Congrats on 3 pounds gone! Really, any loss is good.

You should be either adding your exercise into MFP or, if your exercise is consistent enough, using the TDEE method. My exercise varies a lot so adding it to MFP (or actually letting my fitbit add it) works a lot better for me. But you can play with the calculator here http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ to figure out your TDEE and start there if you go that route. Track your progress for a few weeks and adjust up or down as needed.

I only scanned a couple of days of your food diary but it doesn't look like you are weighing all your food. It's important to do so for accuracy, especially because you don't have very much to lose so should probably only be aiming for .5 to 1 pound a week loss.
