50+ male trying to lose 30 kgs

UK based working male 50 something. Trying to lose about 30 kg in total to get to about 90 kg (an arbitrary figure of my own making) from a starting point of 119 kgs. I've only just found this site. Loving all the tools etc.
I've been calorie counting on my own for about a month and have lost about 4.5 kgs so only another 25.5 to go. I am type 2 diabetic and suffer from hypertension (high blood pressure) and thus the reason for finally getting my act together to lose a bit of weight.
Since starting my diet and healthy eating plan my blood sugar and blood pressure have dropped into the normal range for the first time in recent memory. all I need to do now is commit to some form of exercise.
