Hi there, I am 5'3 and started at 138 and I am now 128. I lost exactly 10 pounds and I have not seen any changes on my body. I'm pretty short and not overweight, so i thought Id see a little result. I'm on a diet and I only walk around my neighborhood for exercise. Is this normal to not see results for my body type?

No change in trousers or anything? I'm 5'3 and done the exact sameweight loss to you, I'm currently 127.5! My trousers and bras fit differently (not so much with tops or dresses)

Have you taken before and after pics? Your eyes (i.e. brain) get used to your new body as you look at yourself in the mirror all the time.

I couldn't see a difference after I lost 10 pounds. You see yourself every day, so it's hard to appreciate the gradual changes. Take your body measurements. I couldn't see any improvement, but my tape measure says I've lost about an inch around my waist. Although I'm the same shape, I can breathe in my jeans again. And now that I've lost another 5 pounds, I'm finally seeing the difference. Keep going!

On what basis do you say there is no change? Your self-perception when you look in the mirror? That is a very unreliable method of assessing change. Progress pics, measurements, clothing are more reliable because they are more objective facts. 10 lbs is hard to 'see' on yourself until you become a very skilled observer.

Doing resistance exercise and eating enough protein means retaining as much muscle mass as possible while losing weight. Not doing resistance exercise and not eating sufficient protein means losing more muscle than necessary. That, in turns, means you will likely look like a smaller version of your beginning look, not any firmer, once you hit your goal. At your stats I would have expected a noticeable difference after ten pounds if you were also lifting weights or doing another form of resistance exercise.
