Wraps to lose weight?

Has anyone tried these wraps that are supposed to help you lose weight? I keep seeing them everywhere, on facebook, advertised at fitness events. I don't think they could possibly work, although I don't want to call bull on something I know nothing about. Has anyone tried them? Did they do anything at all? Anyone out there with an experience with them? What do they even do?

From what I understand which is not much because I think they are a load of you know what...they basically reduce your water weight. So you don't lose fat really...just water. I may be wrong, but that is my understanding. I think anything that is a "quick fix" is a waste of time and money but to each their own I guess.

They "work", in that they do exactly what they say they do: Lose inches (temporarily). They do NOT work, in that what they allude to what they will do: make you lose fat or weight.

They dehydrate your skin, tightening and firming the appearance of it. But as soon as you properly rehydrate yourself, the water weight will come right back and you will gain all those inches again. There have even been cases of people reacting OPPOSITELY to wraps, making then bloat and gain inches.

So....no. They don't work. Use the money you'd spend on them for a fitness dvd, or fresh produce, or a few months of a gym membership. It will be money better spent, on more permanent and legitimate results.

People should just do cardio in a garbage bag then go sit in the sauna then. How a piece of something on my *kitten* and wrapping it up is going to make me lose water is beyond my comprehension. It is even further beyond my comprehension how that would make me lose fat.... These are the same people who keep telling me that curvy is better than skinny and fit doesn't even exist.

They work by relieving you of extra pounds by taking all your hard earned money out of your pockets. When you find you've regained weight, caused by carrying around extra cash you saved since the last wrap, you repeat the process.

Saw it on Real Housewives of Atlanta. It's what the exceptionally annoying chick did to "lose weight" for her wedding. LOL!

They are a scam - utter BS.
