I have just found out I have hip bursitis aka inflammation of the bursa (hip) and can't perform leg strength training or so many forms of cardio. I know that I will have to eat less to compensate for this, whilst I am recovering.
Does anyone have any ideas of exercise I can do?

Seated or lying upper body training (chest/back/shoulders, bi's/tri's) - Bench presses, pull-ups, shoulder presses/lateral raises, bicep curls, tricep extensions0

what advice were you given when you were diagnosed?1

There are upper body cardio machines but a bit unusual to find them - arm bike for example. Rowers can be used without leg drive but how much of a workout you actually get is debatable.
Personally I would just concentrate on upper body weights.
The priority is healing of course.....0

The physio said I could do some walking, like 30min max. I guess I'll just have to walk and do upper body exercises!0
