I am 5'6", 141 lbs and am trying to settle on a goal weight but estimating around 130. I am curious about what it means to recomp, and how to get started. Any help or resources are appreciated. Thank you!

Recomp (a.k.a. recomposition) is used to describe eating at or around maintenance calories and training/exercising to promote muscle gain while simultaneously losing fat. Hence a change in body composition.
Or when I was young it was just called "getting in shape".
Can be a goal in itself or just a by-product of the way you train.
You get started by training.
