I am mid-way through Dr. Ludwig's book, "Always Hungry". https://www.drdavidludwig.com/ Like all well-written books it makes sense as I read it. However, all the testimonials or "My Always Hungry" stories; are from people who have lost 10-20 pounds. I applaud their success! I have more than 20 pounds to lose. I have more than a 100 pounds to lose. I realize the the premise for weigh-loss is similar if you have a few or a lot of pounds to lose. I would love to see a book written for people who have struggled with similarly daunting weight loss.

Perhaps, such a book exists and I am just not aware of it. Perhaps, it takes too long to lose a lot of weight, and therefore no quick-return on the authors time is possible. What do you think?

I've read over 50 books on dieting and nutrition and I wouldn't recommend most of them :p However, Matt Fitzgerald's book Diet Cults is a solid read.

Agreed. For more traditional diet books, I thought Fat Loss Happens on Monday was quite sensible and inspiring.

I'm really pretty against diet books even though I can't help read them as a weird hobby sometimes. I lost 95 lbs mostly trying to eat at a deficit, and healthfully, but not like I was on a diet.
