Plateau breakers!

Hey guys!

I've lost almost 10 kilos, but I think I may of cut my calories too fiercely and now I've hit a plateau. Any advice on how to break it? I've got a goal to lose another 10 by december. Totally doable I know, I think I'm just becoming impatient. TIA!

That's not how these things work. Set your calorie goal to reflect your new lower weight, and tighten up your logging.

Is the 1200 the lowest fitness pal will go? Should I continue using that goal or drop it lower? Thanks for the advice by the way.

1200 is the lowest MFP will go, because much less is dangerous unless medically supervised.

You can either live with a slower loss rate or increase activity. Assuming you're not being medically supervised (to net below 1200 for extended periods of time), option 1 is the best bet.

Thank you! I'll just have to live with the slower rate then, thanks for the help.

Glad to hear it. Admittedly, it sucks, but physics sadly won't have it any other way. I miss the days where I could sneeze and lose 2lbs - but when you have far less human to keep alive and carry around, you can't coast at a steep deficit unless you're really active - which isn't particularly safe at 1200!
