What is after happening
Weighed myself Sunday and I was four pounds down
Had a few alcoholic beverages last night and weighed myself and the scales are saying the four pounds are back on
Please tell me this cant be true
4 pounds gain from one night of enjoying myself

yep... alcohol has loads of calories and makes you retain water....
not sure why this is in MFP suggestions/feedback forum though?0 -
So its just water weight then ?0

To gain 4 pounds (body fat) in a day, it would be required to eat (4 pounds * 3500 kcal / pound) = 14 000 calories in one day.
There can be temporary constipation,
Water upkeep due higher salt intake, not drinked enough water..
Muscles repairing from exercise (body holds onto water for a while),
Eating more carbs than otherwise, more carbs = more water retention
Weigh will be lowest in the morning (after going to the little room, before having breakfast or having something to eat).0 -
Ignore daily trends, take the average over a one to two week period.0
