Hello. Not sure what group to join? I have about 40 plus pounds to lose and struggle. I try to keep working on my calories, tried vegetarian, flexiararian, low calories, paleo......now low carb, but after 2 weeks tops I am drained and have no energy to run/walk or exercise, so I give up. I only eat 110 to 140 carbs a day and tried to cut it to 40. Not for me. I HAVE to exercise! It's therapy! So here I am just trying to understand? Macros was confusing as far as meal plan and on a budget

Welcome! All that's required to lose weight is for you to eat fewer calories than you burn, using whatever way of eating fits your preference and lifestyle the best. Have you tried just eating normally for you, but logging your food into MFP? I would strongly recommend starting there. Eat however you want, but hit your calorie goal. Try that for 4-6 weeks. Once you're in the swing of logging, you can start looking at making small tweaks to your diet if you want.0
