My child is in 7th std. He is not taking studies seriously. He is a average boy in class. I want you to suggest me what daily routine i should follow for my child which could help him to improve in studies and score good grades.

I was in 7th grade not 7th std. That sounds a little advanced.

Anyway, one of my English assignments was to read E.B. White's Trumpet of the Swan and write a book report on it. Also, we learned about how to do long division, manually and we learned about current events in Social Studies from our teacher who asked us to comment on current events which she read aloud from the newspaper every morning in home room. Like the Iran hostage crisis. In music class, we watched The Sound of Music via overhead projector. In science we learned about how if you light a match next to a gas leak, the result will be combustion.

In other words, it was okay that me and my friends didn't take it seriously. We were no worse for the wear.

Our routine was to eat a lot of donuts and we started drinking coffee in the 7th grade. Lots of it. Does your son drink coffee?

    Yeah! He does
