I like both for different reasons. Cookies or muffins.

They are both essentially candy - little packets of sugar with a bit of fiber. Raisins come with the sugar and craisins add sugar to bring them up to about the same level of sweetness.

I prefer reduced-sugar craisins that don't have any artificial sweeteners whenever I can find them.

That's a good idea I'm going to invest in those! Thanks

    I love craisins.

I don't care for raisins. And I can't even explain why. I just know that they're disappointing in cookies and cinnamon rolls.

I like the reduced sugar Craisins. I add them to trail mix, oatmeal, pancakes, use them as my "ants" on a log... I also like to make a cold couscous salad and add Craisins, chickpeas and feta. YUM.

It depends on what I'm eating. If it's a cookie then raisins but if I'm eating a salad then craisins.

ETA: do you ever look at a word and suddenly feel like it looks weird? I just got that with "raisins."

    HA! raisinsraisinsraisins

I agree: Raisins are disappointing! Craisins FTW!

I like them both. However, I prefer craisins over raisins in oatmeal cookies. To me there are few greater food disappointments than biting into what I think is an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and finding out it is an oatmeal raisin cookie. With craisins the color gives it away.

One isn't healthier than the other. They are both moderate sugar and both have nutrients and anti-oxidants. It comes down to preference.

Raisins are my preference. Craisins taste bad to me.
