Has anyone worn theirs into the ocean or on the beach?

I used to have a Fitbit Flex; now I wear an Alta. I don't think any of them are to be worn in the water longterm. You can get them wet, that is, washing your hands and getting some water on them with the intentions of drying off soon after. I had a co-worker that swimmed regularly and that was her biggest complaint--you couldn't swim with most of the trackers out there. Hope this helps....

I have the Flex 2 and wear it for 2 hours in the pool for my fitness classes three times per week. I also wore it to the beach for an entire day in the water, sand, boat...no problems at all!
