Exhausted motivation!

Does anyone ever feel their motivation waning for a little bit. Like I know I'm not going to fall of the wagon entirely but to help myself reset I'm setting my goal to maintain for a few days before I get back into deficit calories.

How do you guys deal?

I think what you're feeling is normal. First few months, I didn't slip at all....then after a few months, someone said they swore having a large meal (higher in fats/carbs, etc then they normally would), ending up giving them some satisfaction and also gave their bodies a little jump start again. Now, every few weeks I'll have a throw down meal, and once a week, I have a healthy yet out of budget meal (such as greek salad with chicken gyro meat and pita/yogurt sauce). No harm, no fool and it's gives me the little bit of treat to keep on fighting the good fight with every other meal/activity.

How'd you know? You're right, I can never seem to get my calories up enough. I measure by kilojule, so I'm meant to be hitting 5021 a day but generally only make it to 3300-3600.

I just get too cautious during the day and then literally run out of time to eat the rest up.

When I was losing weight I pretty much took a maintenance day once per week...sometimes twice. Balance....
