Smoothie advice

I have a protein smoothie basically every day for breakfast. I love the vega protein and greens either vanilla or chocolate, depending on what I feel like that day. It's vegan and whey free. Also add a serving of whatever fruit I have on hand. Usually half a frozen banana with some berries. (And a scoop of matcha)
Smoothies are a great way to get that extra helping of greens and protein. But calories can add up FAST when adding things like peanutbutter, honey and yogurt or oats. So really calculate out the calories before hand.0 -
i buy 32oz frozen bags of fruit just like from kroger and i mix it with 5 calorie cranberry (or cranberry pinnapple) juice and then sometimes i add whey to it. It's pretty effortless and delicious1

Just saw OP said something to me last month, I missed it. I'd say try out different grab and go things and see what works for you (which it sounds like is what you did!).
I had a tasty smoothie this morning, since I was just in the mood and I had some melon and really like it in smoothies: protein powder, some coconut milk (boxed kind), fennel, cucumber, kale, and melon. But because I do like to eat something too, I also ate some cottage cheese.0 -
I eat a canning jar sized green smoothie every day and it comes in at around 300 calories. 80 cal for 1c skim milk, 100ish cal for the banana and then 100ish cal for the berries/greens. It's an easy way to get in veg/fruit and makes a great afternoon snack0
