Would anyone like to guess how many calories you think are in this snack? (No prizes for getting it right!)

1 clotted cream scone with a thin layer of butter, topped with 1 medium avocado and 1 small banana mix and drizzled in 1 tsp of honey.

800 or so... Lot of high calorie items combined.

I'm more comcerned about the application of avocado on a scone. I'm not sure that's allowed!

I can assure you it was simply divine!

I got 386 calories when I put it in the recipe importer.

Correction - My avocado value was messed up; make that 568 calories.

Lost me at banana and avocado, and if clotted cream is anything like cottage cheese, I'll pass.

Lots of transfats in the scone
Lots of good fats in the avocado

You really should try it. I saw someone once mention it somewhere and thought I'd try it.
I find avocado on its own is too rich for me.

I found adding the banana added that bit of sweetness to it and made the balance just right.
And on top of toast or scones is simply delicious.

I can't remember the last thing I ate I enjoyed as much as this which I had last night!
I'm gonna have another one tonight.

I once read someone say they have this on toast.

I find avocado on its Alan a bit too rich and struggle to finish a full one in one sitting.
I found adding a banana added some sweetness and made the balance just right. And on top of toast or scones is delicious. You could always add some jam and then the avocado and banana mix. Think that would go nicely too.

I loved it so much I'm gonna have another tonight!
Can't remember the last time I had something that tasted as good as this.

Seems kinda high for a medium avocado (about 150 grams). You would need an avocado significantly larger (200+ grams) to equal 360 calories.

Did she ask for you to critique the healthiness of her snack? No.

Seems like something that would be an interesting combination taste wise.

Transfats are not inherent to scones. I've made them plenty of times without adding any.

I have sent you my address. Please to deliver item asap.

There aren't transfats in scones...maybe hydrogenated or vegetable oil, but who even uses transfats any more.?

Maybe its just me but that doesn't look like 360 calories of avocado in that picture.

    Yeah no way, lol.

OP, did you actually weigh it, or did you use a generic entry for medium avocado?

Oh you couldn't be more wrong.
Clotted cream is like the best, naughty, most AMAZING thing ever.
Think of the thickest cream you've ever seen, so heavy it's proper yellow rather than that thin white nonsense. Then make it thicker so you can stand a spoon up in it.
    Mmm... Nom...

(It's also low sugar, just the lactose in the milk, so it's REALLY good for making up your macros if you have fat left but nothing else! :D )

    See also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cream_tea

(Given the context here, I was kind of assuming the scone was made with clotted cream in the baking process, cause I don't *see* any there, but I may of course be totally wrong.)

((Also VERY confused by the avocado/banana combo, and also avocado/scone. They should be left for butter, jam and clotted cream IMHO. Unless it's a cheese scone, then fair game with the avocado, but not the banana...))

I'd guess about 450 on account of the avocado and banana.
