Hi! I've really had enough and woke up and decided I need to make a change. I'm 5'8 and need to lose probably around 50 pounds. I'm ice cream and Mexican food obsessed...okay who am I kidding, I'm a lot of foods obsessed, but those are like my faves. I have a full time job and a full time family, when I get home I'm so darn tired and just want to lay down and eat ice cream... Wah
I need to train myself to make better food choices and learn to say NO! help yall! HELP!!!

I understand. I am so tired. I work full time and go to school full time and have kiddos . All I want to do is sleep. We just have to have good motivational friends to help us and the determination. Good luck to you.1

I hear you--add me to the list of tired working mom. the truth is when I eat better, drink more water and make time for myself I actually do feel better and am in a better mood. it's a lesson I have had to relearn over and over and over and over... I have about 15 pounds to lose and I was REALLY JAZZED to work hard this summer and guess what...I go back to school in three weeks and it didn't happen. One thing I will say--I do a lot better making one manageable change per week. If I wake up in the morning and say THAT'S IT--I am working out every day this week, not eating any junk food AND drinking my 5 gallons of water each day-it won't happen. It's too much. Pick one thing at a time. You may be surprised how it snowballs. For me, this summer, I made my peace with drinking a ton of water, taking my vitamins every day and walking outside whenever possible. I did pretty well. In these three weeks until I go back to school I am committing to a 20 minute yoga flow each morning. That I can hold myself to. Baby steps add up. Also--if you can involve your kids it's much easier. Mine are teenagers, but even the 16 year old will go out for a run while I walk. He can do two running loops of the lagoon near our house to one of my walking loops which he thinks is hilarious. And--don't buy the ice cream OR find a less caloric brand--Halo Top?? I do cashew milk ice cream when I have a craving, but my downfall is cookies and pastries. don't bring them into the house or find less caloric substitutes. Whole Foods makes these tubs of ginger snaps that are pretty small and thin--12 of them are something like 140 calories or something ridiculous. That makes me feel like I am getting a LOT to eat but not a lot of calories.
Good luck and keep us posted--many of us are in the same boat.1 -
Three kids here all under 9 ; work full time ; 52 years old....tired as F-Nuck but about 15 months ago I decided I need to love myself more....and that meant kicking my own butt. It has been soooooo hard but there are no longer days that I NEED to just lay and eat my chips and salsa....I gave myself my life back and you can tooooo! 77 pounds gone and it is so worth the effort. One choice at a time....all the best to you !!!1
