about three years ago i lost 100lbs. unfortunately, after hitting that milestone, i started getting back into my old habits. since then, i have gained nearly 30 back.

in the past month, i have gotten serious again and started back on my health journey. i have lost nearly 10lbs and i am proud of that, but my old weight total from years back still has my total loss at 80. which is true, but i feel it an older journey and might need a reset.

i am proud of my number, i am proud of work i did, but i am really considering changing my start weight to reflect this past month's work. a new start to a healthy me. of course it does not take away from what i have done, but losing that big loss also freaks me out (yet slightly deters me).

any thoughts of adjusting the starting weight?

thanks!

I would go in and put last month's starting weight in but date it for one day before your current starting weight. That way your total pounds lost is calculated off of it but you could easily go back and remove last month's starting weight if you decide you want your big loss showing in the future.

Be careful with this. I tried to put my pre MFP weight in and it messed up my calorie counts for exercise. I have lost 86 on MFP but lost 18 before starting. My usual exercise calories that are around 130 or so went to 704! My total weight lost still showed 86 pounds so I had to delete the entries and am hoping today will be back to normal.
