flabby, double stomach while losing weight?

Is it normal while losing weight (I'm down 45 lbs), for the stomach to look larger than the rest of my body, and to seem extra squishy and flabby? It's not loose skin hanging, it's still a fat stomach but it seems extra soft and flabby... like when I poke at it, it ripples when it never used to. My measurements say I've lost 4 inches off my belly but it looks/feels very different and not in a good way. When I sit down it looks really bad... gives me a lot of rolls when I never used to.

Yup. Totally normal for some. Happened to me and I got so discouraged I went out and gained everything back. Unfortunately, weight loss isn't the body fix-all that it seems like it should be, but it's still worth it!!! If you're very concerned, you can always talk to your doctor, but if you have significant weight to lose... unfortunately everything's gonna get weird and wobbly.

First I assure you that you had a fat rolly belly before you lost any weight, or you wouldn't need to lose any. That's true for all of us! Most of the initial fat loss has come from others areas, which is perfectly normal. If you lose 1 lb of fat from your neck and shoulders, and 1 lb of fat from your belly at the same time, your belly will look out of proportion to your neck because it has a lot more fat to begin with so it takes longer to see the difference. If your measurements say you've lost 4 inches off your belly, that's awesome and there is definitely a difference whether your mind lets you see it or not. Keep it going!

Oh, I definitely had a fat rolly belly before, but it seemed firmer and like one big roll, rather than really soft, several rolls and jiggly. it just seems the dreaded "kangaroo pouch" has gotten bigger and jigglier since losing... but maybe the one big, firm roll turned into a couple smaller, softer ones? It's so weird and maddening

MY stomach fat became much more noticable and soft right before it went away. Was because the rest of my body lost first and my stomach was like nope. The softer it got near the end was, To me, A sign of a whoosh coming. Would get squishy fat and lumpy and then boom down 5 pounds lol

I've lost 75#. I'm in the middle of my BMI. I work out every day. Yet, i have a "top" stomach and a bottom one. It used to be one big stomach. My Advice? Keep going!
