Kettlebell workouts

I was wondering if anyone uses kettlebells to work out at home? I have a small gym at work...treadmill, bench weights, etc. but I was thinking of buying a couple kettlebells to do some stuff at home, just to make it easier to get SOME weight training in at home. Any ideas, suggestions, advice, etc.??

Read: Enter the Kettlebell by Pavel.

The exercises, form tips and how to program the workouts to get better progressively are all in there. You could run his beginners programme, then the Program Minimum and finally get on the the Right of Passage. Should give you a couple of years of programming to get you going and to perfect the technique.

I would also suggest the book "the Swing" by Tracy Reifkind. Very Informative

My husband has one but I have not worked out with it yet! I actually saw a lot of kettleball workouts on Pinterest that I pinned to read later. I'm hoping to start using that soon. It is just sitting in the garage. My problem is it might be too heavy for me. I think it is like 30lbs. I would probably benefit more for a 10-20lb ball.
    Good luck.

I use KBs for 85% of my strength training because I like doing exercises that tie movements together and connect my body.

I would seek resources, like You tube and the ones mentioned above, to help get started.

    Exercises-
Man makers - an awesome full body workout. I do 20 to 24 in 3 or 4 sets. I was always taught 5 pushups per 1 manmaker but the ones on youtube only have 1 or 2 per manmaker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe3uMAM3lOA - I would also read or you tube "renegade row" to make sure you are doing those right
Turkish get ups - great exercise. good video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK-L2P56zjU
Swings - are a great start and are under rated
    Figure 8s-

fitnessblender.com has free workout videos, including kettlebell videos. Search by equipment type and pick kettlebell. I don't have a kettlebell so I haven't done those, but I love all their strength, cardio/HIIT, and pilates videos.

I use them all the time at home, up to 20 lbs now (started at 5 - nearly killed myself - shows you how weak I was). I get a really good workout from KB, especially in my core area which has decreased significantly.

My personal trainer uses kettle bells and I bought a 3 pack (5, 10 and 15 lbs) from Amazon. I love them, and the swings are great for interval aerobics and strength training. If yucky out you can use the treadmill, and you swing as many times as you can for 30 seconds (10 second rest) then 20 seconds(10 second rest) then 10 seconds (10 second rest) and then hop on the treadmill at 3.5 for 2 minutes of "resting". Back off the treadmill and do the same thing again. In 20 minutes, I'm a sweaty trembly mess.

They're awesome, and I'm going to get my trainer to give me some more for home workouts too. Her classes are KILLER!

She is amazing, and she has some really great KB workouts for strength and conditioning. I love KB training. It gives you a good calorie burn and builds strength.

Pavel is a God. I have the book and it is a great book.

For any females out there...Kettlebell Goddess by Andrea Du Cane. Awesome and she gives a whole .off version of different unlimited workouts with her DVD. She has trained under Pavel.
