Going way under your IFFYM

One thing I've noticed since I've been getting serious about IFFYM and weighing/logging food.

On a weekday, I seem to rarely "hit" my target goal. Instead I'm closer to 1500 calories in a day (as opposed to the recommended 2000) and often hit the sack with 500 left in the bank and 1000kcal under estimated TDEE. I feel fine.

On weekends I tend to hit those pretty easily and trek up around 2500-3500 consumed, as I like to go to a restaurant and have a big breakfast. I also hit the gym or bike trails hard on weekends.

Is there any risk or issue or negative effects with being generally under during the week? Anybody else follow this kind of plan?

Some stats: (6'1, 187lbs -- estimated TDEE: 2427, target: 2067).

If you hit your weekly goal, you're fine.

I do IIFYM and I regularly eat lower during the week for 2 high days over the weekend.

That's what I've mostly been doing at maintenance, kind of (lower cals on Sunday-Thursday, higher on Friday-Saturday, more exercise on Saturday and Sunday).
