i'm pretty new to strength exercising, when logging my cardio and strength exercises for the day, my cardio impacts my calorie count, but strength doesn't, i can spend 30 minutes doing strength exercise on my multi-gym, but it seems it counts for nothing, is that right or am i missing something?

The strength training section of MPF is meant to help you track lifts, sets, and reps, not count calories. If calorie counting is your focus, then look up strength training (or whatever your doing) under the cardiovascular exercises.

I don't log exercise calories. All of those trackers are inaccurate to some extent. I use the scale to tell me how many calories I've burned or expended each week. Use your diet to manage your calories. Use exercise to maintain a healthy body

This. No clue why strength training is under cardio. It took me a few months to realize it was there. I get fatigued from too few calories if I don't count all my activities. YMMV.
