If I take a day where I don't abide my by my recommended calorie intake for weightless does this mean the whole past week of 'being good'have gone to waste? Is it possible to put weight back on after one day ?

It is very easy to wipe out your deficit for the week with a single day of not tracking. Typically most of the weight gained taking a day off is water weight, but beyond that a day off once per week could result in no weight loss. If you feel you need some extra calories once per week I would consider changing your goal for one day to maintain. You won't be wiping out your deficit and you'll still get the mental and performance benefits of having some more calories.

This is actually how I purposely maintain my weight. Log a deficit for the week, then get sloppy on the weekend.

You can have higher calorie days and still lose weight. But you should log your food, and stick to a weekly average that you are happy with.

To lose a pound a week on average you need to eat 3500 calories per week less than you expend on average. How you do that is up to you. If you amass the 3500 calorie deficit during the week and then eat an extra 3500 calories over the weekend, then yes, you have erased the deficit and won't lose weight.

You have to go massively overboard for it to really impact and ruun a weeks worth of dieting it depends on your weekly defict as Well. E.g if your daily is 500 a day at 3500 a week one day where you eat say 300-600 over wont massively ruin you in fact some proactively do it weekly called a reffeed day as it helps make dieting easier knowing one day anweek ypu can relax ypur diet a.bit hope that helps anyway domt worry continue to track all the best
