How to enter soup kits

Hi everyone. I'll often buy a supermarket packet labelled "vegetable soup kit" which is basically packet of veggies cut up. Packed reads 250ml as 35 calories. Silly question
- Does calories count changed when cooked?

I'd weigh the vegies and log them individually...0

Yes, calorie values change marginally with cooking. For some items it goes up; for others it goes down. For the most part, you can just do the measurements while it's raw -- a heck of a lot easier most of the time.
What you can't do is figure the weight stays the same with cooking. For example, rice greatly increases weight because it soaks up water; some meats lose a lot of weight as fats and juices cook away. That's why for quite a few things the USDA database has different listings for some raw and cooked foods.0
