I have found the questions and advice so helpful in the last few weeks. I was googling a question and wound up on this forum. The information I have gathered has been invaluable! By far, the best advice I have followed is investing in a good scale and measuring the weight of EVERYTHING, including prepackaged items. I have a 47 day streak (on another app, d'oh!) and I'm down 12 lbs. After consistency and staying in a deficit, I credit all of you (who take the time to share your tips) with my success.

Hey, congratz on your good start. I'm so glad you found help in this forums! And indeed the best advice is the one you quoted above.
I would offer a piece of advice too. Since you mention a 47 day streak I would say: don't worry if you for whatever reason cut the streak. Life happens all the time so just ignore the ocasion and continue as usual. Don't try to be perfect 100% of the time. 90% of the time is enough.

Thanks! That streak has had its ups and downs. I have logged every bite. I do want to bite the bullet and move over to MFP because having insights on my diary, when needed, would be helpful. I just have to get over letting the streak go, lol!2
