Was feeling pretty down today because I hadn't lost any weight in a month. Since March I've been using some general goals such as "no sweets or chips," "no soda," "one plate for dinner," etc. It's worked fairly well considering I've lost fifteen pounds since then, but my weigh-ins have been really inconsistent and I know I can do better if I just hold myself accountable for my diet.
A few years ago I lost 53 pounds thanks in part to MyFitnessPal before some crap happened in my life and I gained it all back (and then some). Regrettably, I deleted my account and made this one not long after that before I quickly abandoned it too.
Today I logged in at 337 pounds, down from 374 when I left this account in 2015. I'd actually forgotten how big I'd gotten, I just knew it wasn't good. Now, 37 pounds in two years is not worth bragging about and I know I can do a lot better, but it's some consolation after an unproductive month. Sometimes it feels like I make no progress at all, you know? I've been fighting this battle for a long time and I don't expect to win it in a day. MFP helped me a lot before with its calorie tracking and I hope it can help me again.
So, anyway, it's good to be back, and I don't intend to leave anytime soon.
