Return of Ruth: The story so far...

Hi everyone, as you probably guessed, my name's Ruth. I am a returning MyFitnessPal user and I'm going to fill you in on my weight loss journey so far.
In 2016, after years of misery and complaining about my weight, I decided to get off my butt and do something about it. I managed to shift around 3 stone, dropping from 16st to just below 13st. I was making healthy choices, logging my food and working through the C25k programme (which I honestly can't recommend enough, it's amazing.) I was smashing my goals, down 3 dress sizes and felt amazing! I've been overweight for as long as I can remember, so I didn't think I was even capable of achieving such things. But, hey, turns out "eat less, exercise more" actually works - who knew?
Towards the end of the year, I decided I didn't want to log my food anymore. I was bored of it. I just wanted to eat, have fun and not worry about how many calories were in my food, especially over the festive period. Since then, I've ended up stuck in a rut. I've tried a few times this year, but never really fully got back into it. And when I'm not logging my food, I'm not forced to face the reality of the amount of rubbish I consume so I eat whatever I want and don't think twice about it. I'm now sneaking back towards 14st. Not the end of the world, but I don't want to slip any further and undo all the progress I made, so here I am.
My goal is to be around 10st eventually, and I used to think this was never going to happen, but I know now that I can do this, once I get back on track. I'm going to do a couple of things differently this time around. I will now be measuring and weighing my food which is something I didn't do previously, and would encourage others to do the same. It's amazing how wrong you can be about portion sizes! Also, the last time I was losing weight, I was doing it alone and it was really hard some days, so this time, I'm reaching out for support. I would absolutely love to have some friends to motivate me along the way, and I'll do my very best to encourage you in return.
A few bonus facts about me: I am 26 years old, I have recently moved from England to Scotland to live with my wonderful boyfriend and I have an adorable 9 year old cat named Juno.
Thanks for reading, please feel free to add me if you want to, and good luck to you all
