High fasting blood glucose..insulin resistant?

HI All,
I just had a health clinic at work last week and happened to be fasting that morning. Got a glucose reading of 105 and was told to talk to my Dr. This was the first time I've ever had an abnormal glucose reading. I decided to go buy a meter and test for a few days just to make sure it wasn't a weird/off reading. Saturday and Sunday I had morning readings of 105 and 104. However, post eating my glucose levels are normal, and if anything on the low side. (92 and 104 about 1.5 hrs after eating dinner on 2 days). I called Dr office today but my Dr is out and will call me back tomorrow.
I have read about Dawn Effect but sounds like this is still considered pre-diabetic reading, however I don't understand how I have normal post eating glucose readings.
I have been working really hard to try and lose some weight but it's coming off at a snails pace (3lbs in 5 weeks). I do crossfit 3-4 times a week and try to run 1.5-2 miles twice a week. I'm trying to aim for under 150g carbs a day and 1400-1660 calories a day. I'm 5'6" and currently weigh about 185.
I feel like my metabolism completely died about 2 years ago after doing a paleo challenge. Weight is pouring on like crazy and is SUPER difficult to get rid of.
I've been trying IF for the last few weeks. I eat dinner then don't eat again till lunch/11:30am ish. I do start getting hungry by about 10:30am but tend to eat less overall by doing this.

Please see your doctor and explain this to him.
I know there is a thing called postprandial or reactive hypoglycemia, which happens to pre-diabetic or diabetic individuals sometimes. It is because right after eating, your body is flooded with too much insulin as your body overreacts to food intake, or expects more carbs than you've consumed. It makes your blood sugar dip lower after eating than when you're fasting. This happened to me, and it went away after about one solid month of a low-carb eating plan (less than 50g a day).
I don't know if this is what you're experiencing though, so see your doctor for what may be a medical condition and discuss with him any plans to do CICO, low carb, IF, or whatever you may want to undertake.
Good luck!0
