Ok so I'm new to working out and eating better (so feel free to add me), anywho I just completed 30 minutes of medium to high intensity Zumba. Given the fact that I'm 360lbs (yikes I know, thats why I'm here) mfp states I lost 718 calories!?! Idk it just sounds crazy. I understand the larger you are the more calories you'll burn at first but does that sound ridiculous to you? Also if you have any tips, please share!

I supposedly burned four hundred and something doing a walking DVD for 45 minutes so I think it is possible. I personally try not to eat the calories I burned though so I don't worry about it too much.

Congrats to starting your weight loss journey!

That's why many people suggest to just eat 50% of your exercise calories, to adjust for any miscalculations.

That sounds insanely high to me - I wouldn't eat back more than half.

Try logging it as aerobics, general and see what it gives you. I find that some of the branded exercises have very high calorie estimates.
