My body has its own mind

I'm so used to telling others what to do, it's sometimes frustrating when my own body doesn't seem to follow my own expectations! I've hit a scale loss plateau for the past two weeks and even gained a pound. This was after losing 10 lbs in the first month pretty easily.
However, I have been taking measurements and although I tend to focus my attention to my stomach and hip areas, where the decreases have stalled lately, it was interesting to see that my neck, upper arms, calves and thighs have gone down almost an inch during those two weeks. I can definitely notice the slimming down of my arms and thighs which make me happy.
I guess my body doesn't slim all over at the same time, but chooses its areas as it likes. Kinda funny imagining the lopsided way I'm shrinking  . Still working the Insanity/Tracy Anderson and keeping my calories in line (although I do need to make better food choices, I admit - been slacking off a little lately, but keeping the total under my goal). In any case, I hope to start seeing consistent lb. drops soon.

 First of all... congratulations on what you have lost in pounds and inches (even if it is lop-sided.. :flowerforyou: ). Our bodies lose as it feels it needs. I too noticed as I reduced that one leg would have almost an inch over the other then the next time they would measure almost or 1/4" of each other. You're doing Great!!! Keep up the wonderful work you are doing! :bigsmile:0

I just had an off day too. Im in my second week here lost 7 lbs in 10 days. I intentionally skipped my workout yesterday because of rugby on tomorrow. My muscles were a little sore from all the exercise and I bounced up a lb. I didnt go over my limit, I think my body was just expecting a work out. Dont be concerned about 1-2 lb gains, it fluxates for many reasons. Congratulations on your losses so far, looks like you got just a little bit more hard work in front of you.0

@drvvork - LOL, your comment about the legs was so funny, I never even considered that, I've always just measured my right leg. Thanks for the support, you are an inspiration to me!
@LastFighter - 7 lbs in 10 days is amazing! Sometimes when I skip a day of working out, I find my body reacts immediately as well, as if it were saying, "Hey, looks like I can relax now!" Not yet though! Oh, and my ticker is set to just show my mini-goals, I'm taking 15 lbs at a time, so it doesn't look as formidable.0
