Please correct me if i am wrong here but I think there is actually only 1 poisonous snake in the world and that is in china and is poisonous because it eats poisonous toads or frogs or something along those lines.
Snakes are venomous, not poisonous. Splitting hairs, but it seems to fit the thread.
Poison is a toxin that gets into the body via swallowing, inhaling or absorption through the skin. Venom is a specialised type of poison that has evolved for a specific purpose. It is actively injected via a bite or sting.
