Very funny! 😂
Srsly, more reason for me to enjoy the sand and the water coming up over my toes as I sit on the beach.
I used to be a huge fan of going way out,
(that would be New Smyrna Beach in Fl on the Atlantic) but knowledge has me beached these days, well that and sharks. 😂3 -

interesting choice of beaches:
"New Smyrna Beach consistently leads the rest of the world in shark bites, most of which are minor and result when sharks feeding near Ponce Inlet mistake surfers or swimmers for baitfish. In 2020, six of the shark bites occurred in New Smyrna Beach. Still, 2020 is not a record year."
I imagine "Lake Thunderbird State Park" might be a safer choice.
(shorter commute time too.... call it a 'win-win'.)1 -

Those people got bit swimming by the inlet to the intracoastal waterway.
Lots of bait fish around.
We always parked miles down toward Canaveral.
I’d been going there for years before it got that reputation.
Only had to get out of the water once when a shark was spotted.
But.....like I said, I stick to the beach. ☺️
Oh and, lakes, yuck.1 -

I'm originally from Orlando and that was my old stomping ground. We once spent a week in NSB during a hurricane. We were stubborn enough not to leave and thankfully it wasn't too bad. Lots of shells on the beach after it moved through. Always went there and Daytona Beach Shores, Ormond, Melbourne, etc. Love those beaches. Never saw a shark, though. We still go back each time we visit family in the area.1 -
