    Similar to our redback spider. Find the damn things under the garden furniture and in the mailbox all the time.

    Nahh, one of our smallest only about 1cm.
    Can make you incredibly sick but no deaths I don't think since antivenom was made.

    But they are everywhere.. I mean that. Luckily rarely inside though, but yeah, check your mailbox before sticking your hand in there, check your outdoor furniture before sitting down.. look inside shoes if you leave them outside.

    My first hub got bitten because one hid in his shoe he left at front door.

    Agreed. Dogs are the bomb diggity. :)

    Just a little side story to bore you all with. About awesome dogs. :) We've had workers come in the past 2 mornings, working in our basement. As soon as my dogs see them back into our driveway at 8 a.m., 1 runs to get her tennis ball, and the other runs to get her tug-o-war rope. Every minute is playtime for them and everybody that comes in our house comes to just see them. :)
