Help. I am getting FRUSTRATED!

I cut out sugar 24 days ago. I was several cokes a day, and a duncan iced chocolate milk... i mean coffee. I have weighed, and measured everything, and started working out 15 days ago, the JM 30 day shred. My body hurts all over!!!! I have not lost 1 pound, or even a 1/2 inch... what am i doing wrong? I drink tons of water, I'm exercising and logging my food with measurements etc..(digital scale)
Im starting to get frustrated and think this is all pointless. I committed to 30 days to myself, but at this point, I am wondering if I should bother continuing...nothing is happening!
I have an apple watch so I can see I'm getting my heart rate in the fat burning area but i am not seeing that on the scale or measuring tape...
HELP!

Your muscles are sore from your new workout? They are retaining water to repair themselves and this is masking your fat loss. Be patient, keep at it, and you'll see the results you want once your body adjusts to the exercise.

There's a very likely chance that you are retaining water due to the workouts if you are constantly sore. What are your stats and is your food diary open?1

i have no idea... how to check any of that usmcmp.... how do I find it?0

I think i just opened it...

You don't seem to be weighing your food with an electric food scale. Please do use one as measuring cups and spoons are not precise. How do you know your peanut butter is exactly 2 tablespoons if you don't know what kind of spoon size was used for it, and how it compares to yours? How do you know your apple was medium if you don't weigh it? And grated cheese in a cup? It can sit in there being fluffy, or you can squeeze it in. That's a massive difference.2

Wait, your saying to log it by weight instead of cups? I was weighing meats but I didn't think of cheese..... and pb was done with a tablespoon. It's been very annoying to measure all this and not see anything0

you're sore, so you're retaining water. you didn't gain all the weight in 2 weeks, so you wont lose it all in 2 weeks. be more patient.
and weigh your food.1 -

How much water can one retain? Lol! I didn't think I should take a rest day, should I try that, or keep plugging away? I just am feeling really frustrated. Cutting out sodas and duncan should have made this easier yet I still see nothing0

MFP can help, but you need to be patient and reevaluate your goals. Cutting sugar is not necessary for weight loss. Exercise is not necessary either, although it's great for your health and long term weight management. Thirty days is just a drop in the bucket. There are lots of great articles here and elsewhere about the important of thinking for the future when you lose weight. If you want to lose and keep the weight off, you're aiming for changes you can sustain, not a crash diet that you can drop as soon as possible.0

One can retain a lot of water weight. Also as a woman I at least lose almost all my weight for the month immediately following time of month0

There are times that our bathroom scale is our best friend, and other times that it is our worst enemy. I agree that you are most likely retaining water. Getting rid of all of that sugar is a huge step in the right direction! Make sure you are logging all of your food and water intake so that you can review it. It also makes your accountable. If you replaced all of those cokes with diet beverages, throw them out and stick to water or fruit infused (no artificial sweeteners or sugar) You have this!6

It's not about he "crash diet" I was doing this long term, but it's really frustrating when your are letting go of a strong habit, working out, eating correctly, and still not seeing a change. I cut the sugar out because it wasn't healthy, I am sure I would have ended up diabetic. I want to lose 20 lbs, which isn't a ton, but it seems impossible, especially since I haven't seen anything.
I just am starting to doubt if this is even achievable0 -
I had a kids size Diet Coke at chick Fula yesterday, and other than that it's been water! I don't mind the water, I just hope this is water retention!!!!
When does that stop? Ever?0 -

Ok so I will be weighing EVERYTHING now3

-
Well I will log everything including my water so you guys can help figure this out if I still can't see anything in the future! Thank you for your help. It just gets really hard when you are working so hard and not seeing anything0

Are you eating at deficit? Maybe counting is off?? In the first couple of weeks, it's mainly water retention from workouts. Check your calories, make sure you are at deficit, and be patient.0

I am at a deficit. I turned off the counting my steps too, I didn't want to have them count so I would eat more! (At least I think I did.... not sure where I did that at!)0
