Help! I just donated blood and didn't lose any weight.

Was it the cookies and juice that I had right after the donation? I was hoping to lose a ton of weight to fit in my bikini this weekend.

you should donate platelets instead. white blood cells have more sugar so the more you get rid of the more weight you will lose.1

500cc of blood weighs just over a pound, but your body may retain water after giving to compensate. Regardless, giving blood really should not be relied on as a weight loss tool.1
