MFP saved me (well, kind of)

So basically I posted a month ago that I had regained some weight (8-9kg) after maintaining successfully for over 2 years due falling into a depression, dealing with my mother's death, my husband leaving me and lots of other *kitten*. I still cooked fresh, but had masses of kinder cholocate and crisps next to it.

So basically I decided to log again and go on a very mild deficite. As of today I've lost 2.3kg again (yes, some water most likely) and I feel much better. I'll probably stop at 60kg. That's probably a good weight for me. My old one, 56kg at 169cm was just too low. This though should allow me to fit into my favourite clothes again and take the frustration of not having anything to wear away. I also feel that my life is more structured again due to logging. And I feel more positive about life in general. I even might look into dating. Maybe. Not so sure about that. But certainly not isolate myself from others anymore.

It's the MFP profanity filter :D So we get to use our imagination when we see it.

I've learned so much from MFP and the members who post. It's a pretty good place.

I'm glad you're on the mend. Big losses are tough.

Dating? Hm. I'll reserve my opinion.

Yeah, not sure about the dating thing. Never really done it to be honest. But I need to get out more, and then maybe the magic happens again. Hey, I'm a fairly atractive.. sheep :D

Logging gives me a bit of a feeling of control and security when things are turning to custard. A sort of anchor.

Glad to hear things are on the up.

Exactly! The anchor is a good analogue. I like it <3

I'm also happier and less anxious when I log my food - and I enjoy food more!

I'm glad to hear things are starting to improve for you after such a rough patch! It's crazy how something so small like logging can give us the structure we need in life.

Thanks hun <3 Not sure about the dating thing yet. If you spend so many years with someone you don't see them getting older. I find that I prefer men younger than me as those at my age or older look so old :s:p
