Deficit and nearly no change?

Hey all,
I've been at a 500 calorie deficit for the last month.5, but over those 6 weeks have lost no more than a pound and a half.
I've kept an extremely careful log, and probably at times slightly overestimating the content of what I'm eating. On only a couple days I've gone over, but by no more than 150. The nutritional profile of my food is extremely good, and I do a bit of strength training a couple times a week.
What on earth is happening? Please please advise.

Underestimating intake and/or overestimating calories burned.6

How many calories are you eating a day? How are you measuring those calories? What are your stats?1

Hey, you're losing weight - that's a win even if it's smaller than you'd hoped. You are most likely eating more than you think or counting your exercise as more than it should be - my understanding is that strength training is excellent for you, but burns negligible calories. It's really all about calories in vs calories out. Give it time! Use a food scale to measure your food if you aren't already, and feel good about that pound and a half!0

Buy a food scale.3

Perhaps try adding a little cardio to your routine. While strength training burns more calories throughout the day, cardio offers bigger burns.0

Have you changed up your workout routine? Have you pushed yourself to higher intensity?0

Do you use a food scale for EVERYTHING?0

Can you make your diary public?0

If you're comfortable with the logging and can't pinpoint any other changes then just stick with it. Some people will hang around the same weight for a while and then WHOOSH - they lose a whole lot in not a lot of time.
A guy I know who lost 70+ pounds said he had a month when he didn't lose too much but then he hit a period where the weight just seemed to keep falling off.
Weight loss isn't linear...if you know you're doing the right things, just keep doing them and the results will follow.0
