Any women over 60 success stories

I am 60 and started a journey of losing weight and becoming healthier. I was wanting to see others amazing success.

Hi Christareid28. I am 62 years old. I began MFP on April 1, 2016 at 182 lbs - on a 5'4" frame. I am down to 142 lbs right now - would like to lose another 10 lbs - but at this point weight loss is going VERY slowly. That being said, I have been concentrating on my overall fitness - gaining strength, flexibility, endurance and agility and if my weight goes down in the meantime, well, all the better.
I started slowly on the treadmill, am now running 5 miles on it - at a moderate pace 5x/week. I also take a boxing class 2x week which incorporates rigorous calisthenics and boxing lessons. I am LOVING this, even though it is quite a struggle from an endurance and strength standpoint and leaves me pretty sore. To combat the soreness, I do yoga once a week which keeps me flexible and seems to work out the aches and pains.
I don't know if I am an example of a "success story", but I do know I feel really good, my clothes fit and I feel confident in what I wear, my attitude and general outlook have improved and I am having a ball. A good attitude and general positive outlook make it much easier for me to continue counting my calories and be more optimistic now that my weight loss has slowed down.
I don't really think, at least for me, that age has made it any more difficult to lose weight. I only think that perhaps it made it easier to pack on the pounds - LOL. Good luck to you
