Night shift transition day

Working night shift, I have a transition. Day each week were I wake up around 7 am do my daily activities, short nap 3-5 then I work until about 8 am the next day. What is the best approach diet wise for night shift?

    I worked rotating shifts for 12 years. There is no easy transition, there isn't. What I would do when going from nights to days is cat nap after work, do my stuff, then take another nap, keep going. Then go to bed early that night.
