I can do brilliant all week then 1 day I will feel rubbish and that's it for a week I will eat like a pig and just put weight back on. I have lost 2.5 stone this year so have done so well but I just get stuck at 13.7 stone every time. I have a lot going on In my life at the moment so am overly stressed but this compulsive eating isn't doing me any favours. I'm hoping by putting this on here it will stop me giving in so easily! Starting again today and already I want to eat the contents of my fridge. Maybe I should accept I won't get lower than my current weight

How tall are you? 13.7 stone doesn't mean much without your height.

You need to set realistic goals that take into account your physical as well as emotional needs. "Do brilliant", in the overall context of your post, screams out that you're trying too hard.

But you also need to work on your mindset. Your post is full of negative self-talk. You talk about giving in, eating like a pig, and then hoping it will stop. That isn't how it works.

Being more mindful about your eating can help you a lot. MFP's food diary is here to help.

Maybe you push yourself too hard or eat too little. It's all about being the tortoise not the hare :) Consistency is the key..logging in everyday, logging all your foods and getting support. You can do this, you just need to find the level you're comfy with :)

Take each day at a time. On bad days, take each meal at a time. Trying to project too far into the future causes long stretches of straying away from your goals due to discouragement or excessive self judgment. Keep up exercise even if you ate out of goal.

I'm 5ft 10 so I'm about 2 stone overweight. I shot up to 16 stone due to an injury but quickly lost that then started to lose at 2lb a week, was happy with that but now I keep losing the will power to keep going. I go to the gym regularly and lift weights on top of cardio, maybe I am doing too much but I enjoy the weights and cardio is for health and extra calories. And yes my post is full of negatives because that is how I am feeling
