Spring of 2016 scale said I was 190.. I have lost so many inches since than. I do not know how many I did not measure. Iam thinner now . The scale says Iam 230 pounds. I do not understand .. someone close to me thinks I gained lean tissue because I lost fat . Disclaimer please be polite you don't know me . This is a general question no reason to be rude .

Sounds like the scale is broken3

Are you using the same.set of scales?
Positioning on carpet can cause problems, batteries need replacing, scale is plain broken, or you've gained a lot of muscle mass.3 -

It won't be the last one. Women do not gain muscle that quickly.4 -

Sounds like the scale is broken
One of them was a digital scale in the gynos office and one of them is an ancient scale at home.. the new scale says I'm 230.. I don't know what's going on. I do know Iam a lot thinner than I was. Im happy about my accomplishments . It would be nice if the scale reflected them.

sounds like your scale at home might be broken, if one at your gyno and gym (2 separate scales) have you at a significantly heavier weight3

Thank you for replying ! Yes something is broken. No gym scale. One was gyno and two were at home scales. Excuse me if this is confusing to you . I honestly think I'm going to wait until my body is at my goal weight and then weigh myself ... regardless of what scale says I have made some great fatloss accomplishments !! Appreaciate your input and everyone else's ! I love this app!!2 -

18 months.... That's quite a bit of time.3 -
but how do you know your body is at your goal weight if you don't have a scale...
were the 2 at home scales - the same scale or 2 different ones?2 -

Two different ones. I will sound totally illogical to you when I say I will see it in the mirror. Ex no more saddlebags . I know that really makes no sense to anyone and I sound so not logical.

Did you misread the 190? Accidentally convert the scale to kgs instead of lbs?3

If two scales are showing you in the lower-to-mid 200s, the odds are good that no, you're not as thin as you think you are. Denial can do funny things.

How will you know you're at your goal weight if you don't weigh yourself?
I mean, yes, you say you'll know it when you see it... but if you thought you were 40 pounds lighter than you actually are, is that really the best guide?1 -

What did your doctor have to say about the jump of weight? If the original 190 was done at the office, did they mention anything? Did you ask any questions while you were there regarding your weight?0

No im asking if you asked the doctor about the 40 lb weight jump. I mean in 18 months thats only a little over 2 lbs a month of weight gain, but still Im wondering if you asked them about it. How are your clothes fitting?1 -

Im going to add then, if it truly water weight I would still talk to your doctor, 40 lbs of water weight is something they need to know about, I can go up maybe 5lbs but 40 is a large number.1
