New to Arc Trainer & my toes hurt...suggestions?

I just started using the Arc Trainer at my gym. I love everything about it...except that my toes keep mashing up into the toe cover and my big toes hurt terribly! I Googled it, but the only thing I can find is that I need to move my feet farther back. I tried that, but my feet still shift forward. And quite quickly, too. Any suggestions?

I do the arc trainer about 45- 60 minutes a day, everyday. I had this problem too and also feet falling asleep. I went to a runners shop and got different shoes and that has helped a ton.
Another suggestion would be split your time in half. So arc, bike, arc.3 -
Thank you! Now that you suggest shoes, I have had my current ones for about a year and a half. Could definitely use a new pair0

Press thru the heel and not the toe. That should help immensely.0

I just started using the Arc trainer and I love it. But I guess I went to hard I've strained my extensor tendons. No more foot lifting until it quits hurting.0
