Depends on what you, yourself, consider healthy. Some people swear by Smart Balance or Earth Balance spreads some go the exact oppisite and will say real butter. I personally say real butter and for me it has to be Kerrygold brand butter.

For me, real, unsalted butter. Not too picky about the brand, but Tillamook is really good.

KerryGold is a good brand. Mostly grass-fed.

Pretty sure butter gives you cancer. Or is that margarine? ...best to avoid both, just in case.

I use real, unsalted butter in moderation, sometimes smart balance light in some things because my son is allergic to dairy. Also use lots of olive oil!

Butter & margarine both taste good so clearly they must both be horrible for you & be avoided at all costs. Because, toxinz & cancer.

(Minimal differences really, enjoy what you like the taste of...)

Depends on the purpose. Tasty, but unclarified butter has a horrendously low smoke point so it's a little touchy for my taste when it comes to making pancakes - I prefer beef tallow for that because it's cheaply obtained from rendering beef trimmings. But when baking calls for it, there is no such thing as a good substitute for butter.

Side note: all margarines require a certain amount of saturated and/or trans fat in order to remain solid at room temperature so in reality unless you want to skim your not-butters' ingredient lists for 'hydrogenated' or you're okay with eating trans fat go for the butter.

I use real unsalted butter as well but I only use 1 or two tablespoons a day at the most usually int the morning to cook my egg white omelettes, half the week I don't use any. I like Tillamook Cheese!

Light cream cheese can work with like jam on toast or something??
Or light cream cheese with strawberries on toast or crumpets or breakfast muffins is greaaaat

Avocado is good in sandwiches ..but it still quite calorie dense! but VERY nutritious.

You don't really need to cut out butter out though.. work it in your calories??

I don't eat butter often, only sometimes when I get cravings for fresh italian bread with lots of butter haha, which I would fit into my calories :)
