Started working out with a coach today. We did non machine strengthening for an hour! I was sweating so hard. How can I tell how many calories I burned? Thanks in advance!!

Strength training doesn't burn many calories, which is ok because you're not doing it for calories. If this is something you'll do regularly, pick a number (100 might be good to start - but I have no idea about you), then log it, along with your food, give it a few weeks, and see if you're losing weight at the pace you signed up for.0

Log it using 'strength training' under cardio.
It's not as many calories as you think0 -
It's not a lot and how hard it feels or how sweaty you get is no indication of a high calorie burn.
To expand on above suggestion just log entire duration of your workout under cardio section of your diary as strength training for an estimate based on your weight and METS.
PS
If anyone tells you to use a heart rate monitor to get an estimate - don't!
Unless you want a monstrously exaggerated estimate of course....2 -
Thanks for the input. I think I will just log my fitbit and cardio. If I do burn extra calories doing strengthening work, it will just be a nice plus. :-)0
