Wondered if anyone can tell me what to put in the app for the X-trainer in the gym?

You know the bit of kit I mean - got an elliptical for your feet and long levers that you push and pull with the arms

Cannot find a match

help appreciated

yes thanks but it doesn't offer any variation in effort

in fact it says I burnt less in 10 minutes on the cross trainer, working really than I did doing 7 minutes inclined walkingt at only moderate effort

    anyone else?

If you're looking for precision in calories burnt, you are on a fools errand. It's all estimates. Log it as "elliptical" for a period of time. Check your weight progress. If they jive, you were right, if they don't jive, adjust accordingly.

"got an elliptical for your feet and long levers that you push and pull with the arms." Sounds a lot like the elliptical I use.

    yes thanks

bizarre that it doesn't give more options for a very common piece of kit

so I end up recording more calories burnt walking for 7 minutes at 133 bpm

than I did in 10 mins with heart rate varying between 140 & 170 bpm with lots of maximum effort sprints on the X-trainer
