My name is Jonathan, I'm 29 years old with a beautiful wife and an amazing 5 year old son. I work a full time labor intensive job while trying to maintain the home life.
I've always been on the bigger side my entire life, usually staying between 260-285lbs. I'm 5'11" and 263lbs as of this morning. I used to be a 1-2 pack a day smoker, then finally quit months ago. I also used to be a heavy drinker, but now I've been clean of alcohol for over 2 months. I'm working on getting a weight machine this weekend, as well as bumping up my walking distance in the evenings after work. I've made some better life choices recently not only for my health, but for my family as well. It's hard to get the motivation going after a long day of being in the heat of Texas and having to wear boots all day long. If there are any others out there like me and have any advice, I'm willing to listen! Thank you.

Welcome! Sounds like you have made a few positive life choices recently - great job! Since you have a labor intensive job I'd suggest you focus a lot on food and make sure you put your activity level here to at least lightly active because of your job. Eat within your calorie goals, get a few walks in at night for extra steps and I'm sure you will see the weight come off rather quickly. Again, welcome aboard!1

I exercise in the morning because I am just not motivated to do it after work.0

I wish I could work out before work, but it's hard when my alarm goes off at 4:30am to start getting ready for my shift. I work M-F and I'm usually in bed around 8:30pm-9:00pm just to get enough rest.0
