3 Day Workout?

I'm looking to see everyone's opinion on doing a 3 day full body workout. I want to keep it simple and easy to follow when I'm at the gym and I've read a little about doing a repetitive workout three days a week. Is his effective and useful? Does anyone have any good ones to share?
Also, does everything stretch BEFORE or AFTER their workout? Which is best?

I do a 3-day full body type workout.
It is good to start out with ("start out" I think in workout timescale means for the first 6 months) and get used to exercising. You will gain strength and muscle. When that starts to stall, I will change to a different (split) workout.
I warm up a little before starting (10-15 min light cardio), because I come in directly from work, sitting at a desk all day.
I stretch a little during the time between sets an whenever I feel like it. I think my body knows when it is time to stretch out.0
