    In my case, friends of mine lost their youngest daughter to cancer yesterday. They got to have her for nearly a year after her “this is terminal” diagnosis and she was thankfully able to be her spirited, silly self right up to this weekend, but it’s still hitting everyone hard. She was only 5, younger even than my youngest kid, and I just can’t imagine being her parents and sisters and having to go on without her.
