Hey everyone, first of all, is it possible to lose 14lb in 4 weeks without starving myself?

I know exercise is also key, but with 4 children in the home, it's kind of tough to fit to any in.

Any exercise tips that can fit around a family, recipes or meal plans are more than welcome :)

Thanks,
James

Food is the most important thing when it comes to weight loss.

Would need your stats (age/height/start weight) to be able to give you any advice.

Not unless you are morbidly obese. And even then, it is not a great idea.

14 pounds of fat? Most likely no.

Not unless you have 150+lbs to lose. to lose 3.5 lbs/week would require a deficit of 1750/day, which I would not recommend. with only 14-24 lbs to lose you should be aiming for no more than 1 lb/week, or you risk a larger % of your loss coming from muscle, not just fat

Here is a guide for setting weekly weight loss goals:
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.

Ok based on the limited info in your profile you have 25lbs to lose so you can aim for about 1lb per week max really, you will likely see a bit of water weight drop at the beginning so you might see a loss of approx 5-10lb in 4 weeks. 14lb is highly unlikely in 4 weeks. Why the rush?

If you start getting some strength training into your routine that will help with maintaining muscle whilst you lose weight.
